Andrea's gift of event planning and attention to details is obvious not only in her day to day work, but was clearly evident in her own event planning. She made us both grin when she came to our original consultation meeting with a complete binder full of the big-picture vision of her wedding and details to fill it out--color swaths of coral, grey, and gold glitter, pictures of dresses and accessories, a map of the venue, and a detailed timeline of fun events to provide a memorable evening for their guests.
Camrose Hill Flower Farm proved to be the perfect venue to showcase both of their personalities. The well-maintained green space and flower gardens, the rustic yet functionally beautiful barn, the flower-shack-turned brides' room, the yards to play lawn games, and the firepit to host s'mores were just a few of the many elements that captured their love of the outdoors, their fun adventurous personalities, and their classy touch.
The theme colors flowed consistently throughout the wedding--pops of coral were noticeable in the invitation suite, the bouquets, the bridesmaids' shoes, the flower girls' dresses. The bridesmaids grey-toned mismatching dresses and the groomsmen's ties complimented the pops of coral. Gold glitter adorned the clothespins holding the name cards, the bridesmaids sported matching gold earrings and gold bangles on their wrists, and gold chandeliers sparkled in the outdoor pavilion, inside the reception venue, and in the magical barn.
We loved the detail elements, which could have been easily missed, but were so thoughtfully chosen and so illustrated their personalities as well--Peter's brand new black Jeep as their getaway vehicle, his homemade Sangria (better than the Sangria I've had in Spain!), the homemade desserts and coffee to Peter's barista standard, Andrea's find of an antique Marshmallow tin for s'mores supplies. And highly memorable--their love for acoustic guitar and great singing meant wedding guests had to sing a line (or a whole song) from Jack Johnson in order for them to kiss during the reception!
"There is no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard
No song that I could sing, but I can try for your heart...
It's always better when we're together."
Congratulations Andrea and Peter; we know that you guys are better together, forever.
